The black-and-white painted curb is a very common feature in South Africa. The vegetation, including the large, gnarled tree, looks characteristic of the Western Cape region near Cape Town. The mountain in the background shrouded in mist is typical of the Table Mountain range or surrounding peaks. The architecture and the security fencing on top of the walls are also very indicative of South African residential areas. I am fairly confident this is in a suburb of Cape Town.
