The street signs and the "Tonari" ramen shop sign clearly indicate Japan. The red circular fire hydrant sign is a classic Japanese urban marker. The architecture and the dense utility poles are very typical of a Japanese city. I see a sign for "Hotel Sulata," which is a chain found in the Kanto region. I am fairly confident this is in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
