I see Japanese script everywhere, including "Sukiya" and "Kinryu" signs, which are iconic brands in Japan. The large octopus statue is a classic landmark for takoyaki shops in the Dotonbori area of Osaka. The architecture and the covered shopping arcade (shotengai) are very characteristic of this vibrant district. I am very confident this is in Osaka, Japan.
