The road markings and signs, particularly the circular "No Stopping" sign with a red border and a red 'S', are characteristic of South Africa. The vegetation, including the large, spreading tree and the dry, sunny climate, strongly suggests a South African urban environment. The architecture of the large building in the background looks like typical mid-century South African apartment blocks. I suspect this is in Johannesburg, given the topography and the style of the buildings. I am moderately sure of this location.

The residential architecture, with high white walls and mature jacaranda-like trees, is very typical of the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, such as Killarney or Rosebank. The clear blue sky and bright sunlight confirm a dry, high-altitude climate consistent with the South African interior. The street layout and the style of the apartment blocks further reinforce my suspicion of Johannesburg. I am quite confident in this assessment.
