The architecture and the tropical palm tree suggest a location in East Africa. The billboard text "Fresh Dairy Pouch Yoghurt" is a strong indicator of the Kenyan or Ugandan market. The style of the buildings and the reddish soil are characteristic of urban areas in Uganda, specifically Kampala. I suspect I am in Kampala, Uganda, and I am moderately confident.

The "TAXI" roof sign on the vehicle is very characteristic of the ubiquitous minibus taxis found in Kampala, Uganda. The utility pole with multiple posters and the water tank on the metal stand are classic features of residential areas in this city. The architecture, including the tiled roof and the high perimeter wall with barbed wire, confirms the East African urban setting. I am now quite certain this is a residential street in Kampala.
