The street signs say "Maple" and "E. 12th St," and the phone number area code 213 is specific to downtown Los Angeles. The architecture, including the industrial-style brick buildings and the dense urban layout, is characteristic of the Fashion District in LA. The "Maple Plaza" sign confirms the location. I am very sure this is in Los Angeles, California.
